About F.I.S.H. Food Pantry

Founded in 1970, F.I.S.H. Food Pantry has served the community for over 50 years.  

The initials of F.I.S.H. tell the story: Friend, I Shall Help.  We are an organization of volunteers helping people in emergency situations.

In 2023, we received over 12,000 visits and provided food for more than 50,000 people. We use the Illinois Department of Human Services Income Eligibility as our guideline.

F.I.S.H. is funded by donated cash and food from various organizations such as churches, schools, businesses, scouts, women and men’s organizations and individuals. We also receive food from local grocery stores.
